POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager plans and tracks projects and customer production and NPI programs carried out by cross-functional teams starting with initial requirements and proposals all the way through production and supporting customers during post-launch activities. The ideal person must be able to communicate well, plan efficiently, build and maintain strong customer relationships, and be able to effectively work with multiple departments within the company. The candidate will bring experience with new product development (NPD) and non-recurring engineering (NRE) types of projects. The candidate must be a strong advocate for their customers and have experience with purchase orders, invoicing, forecasting, and working with operations for production scheduling.

<li>Project manage multiple types of projects including internal NPD and external NRE</li>
<li>Coordinate new product launches to meet product release target dates</li>
<li>Coordinate the engineering schedule, cost and technical inputs to support the various teams</li>
<li>Responsible for margins for assigned NRE projects and positioning Beacon EmbeddedWorks (Beacon) for follow-on business</li>
<li>Identify and communicate areas of risk and opportunity for Beacon in the following areas: design schedule, project cost, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction</li>
<li>Facilitate logistics and time/cost management of assigned projects/programs</li>
<li>Establish and manage a project plan from launch to full production release that reflects all the activities throughout Beacon?functional departments?</li>
<li>Schedule, hold, and document team meetings per Beacon policy to assure that all significant project issues and tasks are identified, documented, and addressed</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with customers on project updates including schedule, cost, purchase orders and invoices, risks, contingencies, and mitigations</li>
<li>Execute on-time delivery of project activities across multiple concurrent projects</li>

TheProject Managerwill be responsible for customer communication, project planning, project budget, and project execution and providing technical leadership for new product development projects with high complexity.

<li>Manage the project, the project team, contribute to the project scope and project objectives as well as assure that all steps are completed.</li>
<li>Provide communication interface to customer for communication of project status, schedule, requirements, etc.</li>
<li>Manage and provide Technical Leadership to project teams across multiple sites throughout the execution of product development projects.</li>
<li>Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address necessary action items and keep projects on schedule.</li>
<li>Manage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actions</li>
<li>Timely communication to management for resource requirements to keep projects on schedule</li>
<li>Define product specifications and project scope to ensure it is in line with market / customer needs and ensure development of the product / process accordingly.</li>
<li>Make sure that projects are in accordance with the financial objectives including creation, review, submission of capital requests, review and submittal of product costing information and managing project scope creep</li>
<li>Make decisions in order to speed up the process and ensure the best time to market, time to volume and time to profitability.</li>
<li>Ensure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles during the product development.</li>
<li>Ensure that capacity planning is performed through the project phases so that supply meets expected demand.</li>
<li>Provide project updates to functional management on a regular basis</li>
<li>Ensure systems are set up for ordering / manufacturing of products</li>
<li>Manage &amp; reduce risks including the development of alternatives using risk reduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university with 4+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawings</li>
<li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of management</li>
<li>Ability to effectively manage customer communication and expectations</li>
<li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;</li>
<li>Should have knowledge and skills using:
