The nurse is accountable for the quality of care provided to their assigned patients and assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Position Details:
We are seeking both experienced and newly graduated RNs and LPNs for our Medical Stepdown Unit. This specialized unit caters to acutely ill medical patients and consists of 22 beds. The patient demographic includes those requiring Bipaps, High Flow Oxygen, Tracheostomies, Ventilated Tracheostomies, as well as cases of Respiratory Failure, Gastrointestinal Bleeds, Alcohol Withdrawal, Drug Overdose, Severe Sepsis, and End of Life Care. This unit demands exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities.

<li>Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 3-4 patients with technical support</li>
<li>Collaboration: Close partnership with Pulmonologists and 24/7 leadership support</li>
<li>Teamwork: Daily interaction with Care Management Teams, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dieticians, and Pharmacists</li>
<li>Shifts: Opportunities available for both day and night shifts</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)</li>
<li>Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment, adhering to all state nursing board requirements</li>
<li>Experience: Relevant experience in nursing is preferred</li>
<li>Certifications:

<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire</li>
<li>Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit, including but not limited to:
