This position focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to individuals in the heart and vascular recovery unit during nighttime hours. The role involves collaboration with various healthcare departments to ensure high-quality patient care. Candidates must hold an active RN license, possess experience in cardiac or critical care, and have certifications such as Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The job entails physical activities including lifting, extended periods of standing, and mobility throughout shifts. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care while maintaining professional accountability for the care of assigned patients. Assesses the overall effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers and coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments. Upholds patient rights and ensures the confidentiality of patient information. Performs all duties in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Schedule:
3 shifts of 12 hours, overnight
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Qualifications:
Education:
Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure:
It is the candidate's responsibility to secure and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or under compact licensure, fulfilling all state board of nursing requirements.
Experience:
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience in Cardiac or Critical Care.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit or position, including but not limited to:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
