The Orthopaedic Surgery Coordinator prepares and analyzes clinical data and collaborates with medical staff to prepare patients and families for surgery; obtains medical and social histories, orders tests through delegated protocols. Educates patients and families regarding all aspects of surgical care in relations to their condition. Communicates with 3rd party payers regarding issues of medical necessity and benefits for their clients. Provides for continuity of care following evaluation for surgery and between inpatient admissions and outpatient visits. Collaborates with medical faculty, medical staff, nursing personnel and other health disciplines to facilitate meeting patient and family needs. Provides telephone consultation and follow-up to support patients and their families. This requires the ability to recognize patient problems and symptoms, apply appropriate medical interventions and protocols, and interpreting these to physicians and health professionals involved in the care with the patient and family.

Orthopaedic Surgery Coordinator

Job Description
The Monitored Care Unit Nurse develops a Plan of Care for assigned patients (adult and geriatric) using the Nursing Process to meet the physiological, psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs, and judging the patient’s ability to participate in the plan. The nurse performs a nursing assessment on admission including neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal and genitourinary parameters. Specific tasks include but are not limited to care of the pre and post procedural/surgical patient (Recovery Room after hours), IV therapy, external pacing, management of airways (O2 therapy, ET tubes, tracheostomy management, NT/ET suctioning, vents, and chest tubes. Other duties are management of patient with drains or tubes (feeding, lavage, PEG), catheters (urethral, suprapubic, 3-way irrigation), those requiring laboratory tests or specimens, administration of blood and blood products, and preparation of patient for transfer to another unit or hospital. The MCU nurse is responsible for patient/family teaching, participating in Quality control, narcotic counts, checking physician orders, reviewing previous test results, and understands significance. Maintains complete documentation in the Electronic Medical Record Flowsheet.

The Internal Medicine Phone Nurse/CMA assists the provider in the delivery of health care services in a family practice setting. Takes vital signs, assists in a variety of treatments, administers medications, monitors usage, and updates patient records. Uses communication skills to discuss medical related issues and questions with patients and families and makes referrals to other care providers. Participates in patient education, infection control and quality improvement. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization processes have been accomplished. Screens telephone calls for referral to physician, takes phone messages as related to medical questions, and relays messages concerning prescriptions to physician. Maintains information on patient’s electronic medical record chart. Advises and assists support personnel in scheduling of tests and treatments. Must be able to accurately and timely complete FMLA/WC forms.

Leaf Home Stairlift is the nations fastest growing safety company and we are looking for new installers in your area NOW. Start out as an installer and you can even work your way up to becoming a trainer, an installation manager or regional manager in no time. 
Stop wasting your time and effort searching for and bidding on jobs only to lose out to another contractor. Spend your time doing what you do best … using your professional craftsmanship skills to help seniors age in the homes they love. 
We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical / carpentry skills that possess a strong attention to detail. You will be primarily providing installation of stairlifts both inside and outside of the home. 
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Prefer 1 year of carpentry / construction skills including light electrical skills (the ability to add or move outlets). </li>
<li>A box truck, cargo van, full size pickup or full size SUV. </li>
<li>Current or ability to obtain general liability insurance and workers compensation insurance or exemption depending on the state (we can assist). </li>
<li>Must be willing to travel. Most travel is within 100 miles of the office but further travel could be available for those willing to do so. </li>
<li>Must have all necessary tools for the job including:
<ul>
<li>Box wrenches, Allen wrenches, 12 Miter Saw, Nut Driver Set and Drill Driver Extension </li>

Whats in it for me:

<li>This is a 1099 contractors position </li>
<li>Stairlift installation compensation averages around $250-$350 and requires between 2-4 hours to install. Can be slightly more or less depending on the job. Occasionally we will install curved stairlifts with an average compensation around $600 requiring about 4-6 hours to install. </li>
<li>All jobs are presold … no sales involved, just the installation. </li>
<li>Flexible Schedule … Work Part Time or Full Time. </li>
<li>No out of pocket expenses … We purchase and stage all jobs for you so no wasted time or reimbursements needed. </li>

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provider is responsible for rounding and managing the clinical care of the population at the assigned SNF. </li>
<li>The provider is responsible for rounding daily and prescribing medications and treatments for residents residing at SNFs. </li>
<li>Provider will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services to patients residing in SNFs. </li>
<li>Provider is responsible for timely documentation of all patient care/encounters </li>
<li>The provider will be available for phone/secure messaging consultations with facility nursing staff.</li>
<li>Provider documentation is completed in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™. </li>
<li>PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech are the most commonly used facility EHR systems. </li>
<li>Provider is expected to be on-site on and on time for their in-person scheduled shifts. </li>
<li>Timely attendance is imperative.</li>
<li>Reliable transportation required.</li>
</ul>
Shift Structure
<ul>
<li>Rounding time is 7AM-1PM local time, during which the provider must be available to nursing staff and address acute/emergent issues that arise. </li>
<li>Shifts begin around 7AM local time with flexibility within reason.</li>
<li>Shifts are daily Monday-Friday </li>
<li>Charting/documentation can be completed off-site. </li>
<li>This is an in-person position. </li>
