(full certification and experience) PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Ski Instructor is responsible for teaching alpine skiing to Deer Valley guests (children or adults) at Beginner to Intermediate ability zones. RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Teach alpine skiing in first time through expert ability zones (based on experience and certification) using PSIA/AASI teaching methodology and following the safety codes of the mountain</li>
<li>Must be dressed, equipped, and at the meeting location for lessons on time</li>
<li>Must adhere to lesson times, lunch breaks, clinics, and schedules of the Ski School</li>
<li>Plan, organize, and implement appropriate ability zone plan for each ski lesson</li>
<li>Conduct lessons in a professional manner</li>
<li>Attend instructor meetings, training, and performance reviews</li>
<li>Adhere to Ski School and HR policies and procedures</li>
<li>Display professional conduct with parents, children, and caregivers in all situations, some of which may be stressful</li>
<li>Write daily progress cards for students and their parents</li>

 The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski &amp; Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski &amp; Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
