We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a state-of-the-art steel processing and storage facility. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a climate-controlled, modern warehouse environment.
Responsibilities

<li>Plan and execute maintenance and repair functions within the facility.</li>
<li>Purchase and manage inventory of machine and equipment spare parts.</li>
<li>Complete machine maintenance tasks and prepare detailed repair reports.</li>
<li>Assist management in implementing preventative measures to reduce waste and minimize equipment breakdowns.</li>
<li>Ensure maintenance and repair activities are conducted safely and efficiently, meeting all safety requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in safety committee meetings to uphold safety standards.</li>
<li>Assist in establishing and maintaining work instructions and process standards for maintenance functions.</li>

Essential Skills
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>3-5 years of related industrial maintenance experience.</li>
<li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, quality manuals, and technical documents.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret various instructions and blueprints.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Excel.</li>
<li>Mechanically inclined with experience in TIG and MIG welding.</li>

<li>Crane and forklift licenses (can be obtained within the first three months of employment).</li>

Work Environment
The maintenance technician will work in a climate-controlled warehouse and production facility, primarily on a shift from 3 PM to 11:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekends required. Initial training will occur on the first shift for approximately six months. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Safety equipment is mandatory, and the facility maintains a high noise level due to moving mechanical parts.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Perform deliveries to various locations, including residential and industrial areas.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.</li>

<li>Maintain the operational and mechanical condition of equipment:

<li>Conduct routine inspections and minor maintenance on the vehicle.</li>
<li>Report major mechanical issues to a supervisor in a timely manner.</li>

<li>Assist in maintaining cleanliness around the ready-mix plant as directed by a supervisor.</li>

Experience/Qualifications:
Education:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul>
<li>Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred.</li>
<li>Previous experience in ready-mix delivery or a similar industry is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Skills:
<ul>
<li>Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with Air brakes and a clean driving record.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with a commitment to customer service.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Problem-solving skills and attention to detail regarding vehicle maintenance.</li>
<li>Spanish-speaking or bilingual capabilities are considered a plus.</li>
