Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, senior care facilities, and pediatric units.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help with mobility by lifting or transferring patients safely.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy to understand patient needs effectively.
- Experience in pediatrics or working with children is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices for comprehensive patient care.
- Proficient in medication administration protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment or similar settings.
- Experience lifting patients or assisting those with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Background in senior care to cater to the elderly population's unique needs.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
