POSITION SUMMARY

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers</li>
<li>Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment</li>
<li>Adhere to manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures</li>
<li>Consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resolving problems</li>
<li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment</li>
<li>Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, tire repairs, and fluid checks</li>
<li>Conduct detailed inspections of engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems</li>
<li>Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and identify necessary repairs</li>
<li>Perform welding, fabrication, and other mechanical tasks as required</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules</li>
<li>Adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies</li>

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE

<li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty preferred).</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.</li>
<li>CDL license preferred (or ability to obtain).</li>
<li>ASE Certification(s) or manufacturer-specific training a plus.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.</li>
