<li>Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.</li>
<li>Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.</li>
<li>Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.</li>
<li>Perform further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.</li>
<li>Examine critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.</li>
<li>Plan and establish timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.</li>
<li>Provide timely communication with management and team members regarding status and applicable needs.</li>
<li>Record and report any damage to company or customer property immediately.</li>
<li>Maintains a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring the area is free from clutter and debris. </li>
<li>All other duties assigned are based on the needs of the business.</li>

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

<li>Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.</li>
<li>Excellent mechanical repair skills.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.</li>
<li>Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.</li>
<li>Ability to read and comprehend service, work orders, and repair manuals.</li>
<li>Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to perform work in a safe manner and adhere to safety policies.</li>

<li>Must be able to handle pressure and think clearly in all situations.</li>

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Master technician certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence when appliable. </li>
<li>One to five years of related experience highly desired.</li>
<li>Some training or certification is automotive repair is often required.</li>
<li>Must be 18 years of age or older. </li>
</ul>

WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USE:

<li>Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.</li>
<li>Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. </li>
<li>Must be able to inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed.</li>
<li>Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.</li>
<li>Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when applicable.</li>
<li>Personal tools are required to complete matching skills and duties of technician level.</li>
<li>Diagnostic tools may be required when applicable to position duties of technician level. </li>
