Manages equipment maintenance and repair, while simultaneously assuring efficient and safe fleet operation. &nbsp;Ensures compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies and regulations.&nbsp; Assists in achieving department goals.
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;

Assist the Sr. Fleet Maintenance Manager in reaching assigned site goals and metrics.

Directs the work of trailer repair mechanics ensuring that safety, quality and productivity standards are maintained.&nbsp;

Manages daily vehicle work orders to ensure timely repair.&nbsp; Determines action to be taken on hostling truck and trailer breakdowns.&nbsp;

Oversees the clean-up of all hazardous waste material spills.&nbsp;

Responsible for the sanitation and physical condition of the repair facility.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Maintains vendor network for road breakdowns.&nbsp; Ensures fleet DOT compliance and completion of scheduled preventive maintenance.&nbsp;

Assists with the training of new mechanics.

Establishes vendor relationships to obtain the most reasonable parts purchase prices for the distribution center.&nbsp;
