We operate and maintain Natural Gas service for several Utilities and Cooperatives throughout Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. UPL offers a full range of services in the natural gas industry including engineering, installing, maintaining, and operating natural gas distribution systems, all upheld to the highest standards in the industry.
Job Summary
Utility Pipeline Ltd. is searching for a natural gas field technician who would primarily operate Northwest of Columbus in Hilliard, Plain City, London, West Jefferson, and other areas in Franklin, Madison, Pickaway, and surrounding counties. In order to respond to emergencies, this individual must live within 30 minutes of the above locations. After becoming fully trained, this technician will work from their company truck and report to job sites daily. Experience in the natural gas distribution field, construction, or plumbing is a plus. General Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Respond to various work orders </li>
<li>Line locating</li>
<li>Leak surveys, inspections, and compliance-related tasks</li>
<li>Annual maintenance of pipelines and facilities</li>
<li>Install and remove meters</li>
<li>Meter reading and install ERTs</li>
<li>Install pipelines, taps, and services </li>
<li>Oversee and inspect sub-contractors on assigned projects </li>
<li>Maintain company vehicle and equipment</li>
<li>Complete necessary paperwork for daily tasks</li>
<li>On-call rotation/emergency call outs </li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Experience: 1+ years of related experience preferred but not required</li>
<li>Valid and clean Ohio driver’s license </li>
<li>Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test (pre-employment and random)</li>
<li>Willing to complete required online training and pipeline safety training programs </li>
</ul>
