<li>Exhibiting competency in using software systems such as Outlook and current EMR, to record visits or treatment and to communicate</li>

<li>In maintaining general order, safety and cleanliness of the patient area, Hospice Aides need to be competent in applying safety principles by:</li>

<li>Disposing of biohazard materials correctly</li>
<li>Being acutely aware and knowledgeable of personal and environmental safety</li>
<li>Demonstrating proper transfer and lift techniques using good body mechanic techniques</li>
<li>Cleaning and storing DMEs and assisting in storing &amp; tracking patient care products if applicable</li>

<li>In providing excellent patient care, Hospice Aides need to exhibit competency in treatments including:

<li>Providing post-mortem care</li>

<li>Being able to describe roles and relationships boundaries as a Hospice Aide</li>
