Scale Operator - Seasonal

Our Livestock Supervisor will oversee regular care and feeding of several animals including: Aberdeen cattle, Scottish Highland cattle, Columbian/Dorset sheep, Borer goats, Nigerian goats, mini donkeys, alpacas, llamas, IPP pigs, Mangalista pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys and a Belgium horse. This role will be responsible for managing the breeding of several of these animals as well as preparing animals for various seasonal events. The livestock supervisor will also maintain sanitation and cleanliness of animals, pens and areas where the public may interact with them. This position also involves overseeing other farm animal care team members as well as training animals in different capacities.

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>The physician serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;</li>
<li>The physician collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day to day resident care at each facility. Typically, each facility will have a full-time PA or NP assigned to the facility depending on the acuity and volume of the patient population;</li>
<li>Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs;</li>
<li>Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes</li>
<li>Provider documentation is completed in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™</li>
<li>PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech are the most commonly used facility EHR systems</li>
<li>Participating in Theoria's Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM and other medical quality initiatives and programs</li>
<li>Physician must be able to supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants</li>
<li>Physician must be able to utilize electronic/online medical tools such as EHR systems and state/county medical systems utilized for Death Certificates and administrative functions.</li>

Shift Structure
<ul>
<li>Shifts are flexible depending on physicians' schedule;</li>
<li>Typically, attending physicians work a minimum of 1-2 days/week at each facility they oversee;</li>
<li>Rounding times are flexible with no set start and end time. Preferably, physicians start in the morning between 7-10 a.m. and finish their day when their caseload has been seen;</li>
<li>No nights, weekends, or on-call</li>
<li>Call is covered by Theoria's virtual care team</li>
<li>This is an in-person position</li>

Summary
The Medical Assistant abides by the company’s specified boundaries of duty and follows and implements the rules and regulations set forth by the standards of practice as applicable. The Medical Assistant performs only those acts, functions or tasks that the employee is qualified, trained, knowledgeable and/or skilled to perform, per the direct order and supervision of the Provider on duty as allowable by the Provider’s delegation authority. The Medical Assistant accepts responsibility for individual actions and continued competence. The employee will complete all competency and proficiency training required by company policy. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
<ul>
<li>Maintains appropriate clinical standards. Follows the policy and procedures as written in the Company Policy and Procedure Manual.</li>
<li>Recognizes the patient’s individual rights and cultural diversity; aid the patients in their right to be informed and to participate in making decisions in all aspects of their medical care and treatment.</li>
<li>Administers appropriate high-quality patient-focused health care.</li>
<li>Patient care functions may include triage/check-in assessment and discharge, CLIA waived point of care testing, , wound care, splinting application and other treatments ordered by the provider. </li>
<li>Medical Assistants are permitted to perform the duty of peripheral venipuncture per the direct order and supervision of the provider on duty under specific state legislation. Some states require the medical assistant to hold a phlebotomy certificate prior to performing peripheral venipuncture.</li>
<li>Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by physician, including patient and family instruction; ensures that all aspects of care have respect for personal values and beliefs and are focused on the individual needs of each patient.</li>
<li>Maintains all clinical documentation, including quality control and compliance logs required by company policy and applicable regulatory agencies. </li>
<li>Accurately, efficiently, and completely document all clinical patient care data.</li>
<li>Utilizes all equipment, supplies, facilities, and resources of the Company in a prudent and efficient manner. </li>
<li>Assists nurse and provider on duty at all times during a shift, including, but not limited to, the unpacking of supplies and maintaining the general aesthetics of the clinic. Cleans instruments and equipment per company guidelines, maintains stock in all exam rooms before, during, and after each shift. Assists in turning over exam rooms, procedure rooms, and treatment rooms immediately after a patient is discharged from that room and assisting non-ambulatory patients to and from the building as well as other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Participates in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, attends departmental meetings, and demonstrates and maintains clinical competency in the delivery of patient care services in accordance with Company guidelines.</li>
<li>Other duties as needed.</li>
