R&D Applications Specialist (VWR International, LLC / Bridgewater, NJ) -- Devlp & optimize processes from devlpmnt scale to pilot scale usng engnrg techniques for new product intros (NPIs) incldng amino acids, sugars, detergents, & porous chromatography resins. Reqs Masters in Materials Sci & Engrng, Chem'l Engrng, or closly relatd field & 1 yr exp in job offerd or as a Research Assist. &/or R&D Intern. Bkgrd in educ, traing or exp must incld demnstratd ability to collaborate in a team to prepare fluid catalytic cracking catalysts; explore techs incldng zeolite crystallizatn & ion exchnge techs to improve commercial products; analyticl testng usng DSC, FTIR, UV-Vis; material testng & evaluatn usng electron microscopy (SEM), tensile testng, IZOD impact testng, flex testng, optical microscopy for material &/or reactn monitorng; porous material devlpmnt & testng usng Hg-Porosimeter. Domstc trvl req'd 2-3x / yr.
