The Lima Civil Service Board will conduct an open and competitive
written examination for the following position:
WATER TOTAL PLANT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (LEARNER)
DEPARTMENT OF UTILITIES

Salary Range: Starting pay is $25.13 per hour

Job Responsibilities: Under minimal direction, performs water
supply and treatment functions; performs emergency functions;
maintains personal and professional competence and awareness;
establishes and maintains external relationships.

Necessary Qualifications: The training, education and work
experience, which indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and
abilities listed below. The minimum acceptable qualifications for this
position are:

Completion of secondary education, obtain a Water Supply License
within two (2) years and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
Unlicensed candidates must pass a valid written math screening
assessment. Obtain an OEPA operational laboratory chemical

certification. Successfully complete the Basic Water course offered by
the Operator Training Committee of Ohio.
