Governance and Enablement Officer
Governance and Enablement Officer, IBM Corporation, New York, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting is permitted): Manage the operations of the Responsible Technology Board (Board). Connect and understand key strategies, technologies, and policies that the Board needs to know to make governance decisions. Lead Board workstreams to publish internal guidance and thought leadership Points of View (POVs) on emerging technologies. Manage the intake funnel of Tech Ethics Use Assessments and develop governance policies, guardrails, and precedent-based guidance for high-risk AI use cases to accelerate review and approvals for the business units. Own the Board Charter, manage the annual Board retreat, and organize a monthly Focal Point meeting with relevant topics, operational insights, and industry information. Assist in sharing the Board's work and governance approach in key external events. Enable the integration of AI automation into the Board's operations and support the commercialization of Board governance. Utilized: AI Project Management, Advanced Technical Writing, AI Risk Management Framework, AI Strategic Planning, AI Governance Commercialization. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Political Science, Ethics, Policy or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as an AI Ethics Technical Advisor, AI Ethics Program Manager or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing AI Project Management, Advanced Technical Writing, AI Risk Management Framework, AI Strategic Planning, AI Governance Commercialization. $215,576 and $265,576 per year.
