GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Set-up and operate equipment in the SMT/PCB area, including Screen Printer, Thought-hole Component Insertion/Locator, Pick and Place, Wave Solder,
Selective Solder, Reflow Oven and AOI machines. This is accomplished by reading work orders, following
production drawings, bill of materials, and/or sample assemblies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prep parts for thru-hole machine operation
- Be able to identify components per bill of materiel
- Access Factory Track system for BOM, parts inventory, etc.
- Access computer for relevant program
- Set-up equipment per procedure
- Operate equipment per procedure
- Perform required preventive maintenance operations
- Maintain any required maintenance logs
- Maintain any required quality data
- Perform minor trouble shooting techniques
- Implement and /or write any ECOs or deviations
- Reference IPC 610 for acceptance criteria
- Some hand assembly required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Set up and operate the CSI machine in the through-hole PCB area to inspect assemblies and ensure product quality. Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, including reading work orders and following production documents. EXPERIENCE: One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate skills: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint , or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software. Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Minimum Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, volume and distance measurements, as well as American currency.
REASONING ABILITY: Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

SALARY RANGE
The starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $17.00 and $20.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
