Location: Washington, DC 20032

Contract Length: 8 Weeks

Schedule: 312Hour Day Shifts

OnCall: 1 Shift per Week

Pay Range: $68.00 $75.00/hour

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join a highacuity, fastpaced unit supporting laboring patients, scheduled procedures, and obstetric triage. This role involves caring for pregnant patients beginning at 17 weeks gestation through delivery and immediate postpartum recovery.

The ideal candidate has strong L&D clinical skills, experience with intrapartum and postpartum care, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Experience in Labor, Recovery, Delivery, and Postpartum (LRDP) is preferred.

Requirements

• Active RN License in the District of Columbia
• L&D Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
    • NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• LRDP & Labor with Postpartum Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and interpret EFM tracings
• Support patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum transition
• Assist with Csections and other scheduled obstetric procedures
• Manage obstetric triage assessments and patient prioritization
• Document all care accurately in Cerner and FetaLink
• Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff
