Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Location: Centennial, CO

Schedule: Monday Friday, full-time on-site

Compensation: $62,000 $93,000 annually + profit-sharing + full benefits


About the Role

As the Payroll Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of payroll and related administration. You will manage bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, validate earnings and deductions, ensure compliance with tax and benefits requirements, and maintain accurate records. You will also provide support to Human Resources and Accounting through reporting, reconciliations, and special projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, including off-cycle runs, bonuses, final pay, and adjustments.
  • Validate timesheets, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and reimbursements.
  • Enter and update payroll/accounting data; maintain spreadsheets and reports.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices, open enrollment data, and leave accrual records.
  • Prepare and submit tax filings, W-2s, compensation statements, and government surveys.
  • Maintain employee files, new hire packets, certifications, licenses, and I-9s.
  • Support HR and Accounting with audits, projects, and special requests.


Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.
  • Bachelors degree in business/accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, garnishments, benefits, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Paylocity and Deltek experience a plus.
  • Exceptional math, analysis, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in time-sensitive environments.
