The hours are 7AM-7PM with some weekend work assignments.. Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant (CNA) assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes but is not limited to:
- Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
- Organizes and prioritizes workload minimizing/eliminating undue delays, blacklogs, or disorder.
- Time management incorporates purposeful rounding; hourly during the day and every 2 hours during the night, anticipating patient and family needs jointly with the RN.
- Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
- Monitors the activities of patients and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment.
- Able to adapt to changes in workload or patient assignments.
- Assists patients as needed in attending Child Life Activities and special events.
- Ensures patient care areas are neat and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma /GED
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in state of SC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - or obtained within 3 months
- Nursing Assistant experience
Preferred
- One year of pediatric nursing assistant experience
