Eastern Regional Distributor Sales Manager

The Eastern Regional Distributor Sales Manager is responsible for assisting with the generating of sales by the effective management of Regional Distributors designated throughout the region. This individual will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company, Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

Job Duties:

  • Assist assigned Distributors to perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products while on-site and help close contracts
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
  • Help drive and effect direct sales within the region
  • Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Ensure follow-up by passing account information to Project Managers with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, and so on
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients
  • Periodically conduct informational presentations and/or tradeshow demonstrations

Requirements:

  • University or college degree, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of direct and distribution leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close sales while maintaining established sales quotas
  • Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, account development, and time and territory management
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Experience with customer relationship management software
  • Experience in aquatics industry and/or contractor relations is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel is required (up to 50%)
