Purpose: The primary function of this job is to provide outstanding service to members by directing branch operations. This position requires the employee to be proficient in branch management concepts as well as all aspects of leading a branch team, coaching, business development, market growth, generating revenue, sales, and lending, including real estate lending. All management and supervisory positions require the ability to make decisions within established guidelines, the ability to promote a sales environment, and the ability to be a team leader in an organization that values the spirit of teamwork.
Financial Center managers should have the ability to assign and direct all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of sales and operation. You will manage staff, foster a positive environment, and ensure member satisfaction and proper branch operation. The successful candidate will have a firsthand approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales target achievement.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions
- Directing all branch operational aspects including member service, human resources, administration, and sales in accordance with the credit union’s objectives.
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
- Conduct business development activities to include making outbound in person visits to businesses and conducting out-bound calls.
- Conduct Consultative Solutions Sales activities, demonstrating proficiency in sales and coaching.
- Notary public or able to gain certification within 120 days of employment.
- Meet goals and metrics.
- Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
- Conduct outbound calls, take incoming calls, follow up with our members in person and over the phone.
- Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
- Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
- Address member and employee satisfaction issues promptly
- Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations and applicable laws.
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and credit union.
- Responsible for Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Credit Union procedures
- Functional is all aspects of consumer lending, first mortgage lending and home equity lending to include closing home equity loans.
- Perform specific and delegated duties as assigned by management.
- Travel and attend off-hours WEFF, industry, and/or community meetings and activities, typically within the state of Florida.
- Flexibility to be reassigned within WEFF.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Financial Institution operations to include deposit, lending, and small business banking
- Fundamentals of the financial industry, including an understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process, and the legal theory of negotiable instruments
- Experience developing and executing on a competitive marketing strategy
- Personnel administration, wage/salary administration, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary action, succession planning, and training
- Business English, spelling, grammar, composition, and arithmetic
- PC literate, including working knowledge of Word and Excel
- High degree of tech knowledge to include use of video conferencing, on-line, mobile banking, use of virtual meeting such as teams and WebEx.
- Credit Union policies, products, services, regulations, and procedures a plus

- Manual Dexterity: Ability to perform necessary computer-related input
- Physical Mobility: Requires significant finger manipulation, hand-arm manipulation, hand/arm steadiness, eye/hand/foot coordination, limb movement without visual control, hand/ear coordination, skilled body coordination, and skilled body positioning
- Ability to lift ten pounds

Education/Experience
- Job requires a two-year college level of language, math, and reasoning skills.
- Five years’ experience in a related field with equal responsibilities
- Proven branch management experience, as a bank manager or similar role
- Ability to meet sales targets and production goals.
- Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Results driven and member focused.
- Leadership and human resources management skills
