Employment Specialist / Recruiter (Staffing & Business Development)
Location: Union County, NJ
Schedule: Full-time, on-site
Compensation: Competitive base + commission/bonuses (DOE)
About the Role
Express Employment Professionals of Union County is hiring an Employment Specialist to help grow our office by recruiting top talent and building strong relationships with local businesses. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, matching candidates to opportunities, and building their own book of business.
What You’ll Do

Recruit, source, and screen candidates for office, industrial, and skilled positions

Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess skills, experience, and fit

Match candidates with open client roles and manage the placement process

Schedule meetings and support business development efforts for the sales team

Proactively source candidates using job boards, referrals, and community outreach

Build and manage your own client relationships and book of business

Maintain accurate records in the CRM and manage candidate pipelines

Provide a high-touch experience for both candidates and clients

Support onboarding, follow-ups, and ongoing client/candidate relationships
What We’re Looking For

Prior recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or HR experience preferred

Comfortable recruiting for both office and industrial/warehouse roles

Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person)

Self-starter mindset with the ability to build and manage a book of business

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities

Tech-savvy with ATS/CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and online sourcing tools

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, not required
