Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Tele RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver advanced nursing care in a Stepdown (MS/Telemetry and Renal) unit supporting patients with complex cardiac and renal needs. This role demands comprehensive skills in telemetry interpretation and multi-system patient management, emphasizing safety, evidence-based interventions, and compassionate care.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour evening shifts
  • Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Every other holiday (EOH)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications safely, including drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry every 4 hours, documenting in EPIC.
  • Care for patients utilizing advanced oxygen therapiesTrachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate care across departments.
  • Act as a patient advocate, supporting patient and family coping through complex illness.
  • Manage patients with multi-organ failure or trauma using best clinical judgment.
  • Uphold nursing professional practice standards and participate in continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license (state-specific or compact).
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience with MS/Telemetry; CAPD experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide provided).
  • Familiarity with cardiac drips and advanced respiratory modalities.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EPIC preferred).
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a 1:4-5 ratio with tech support.
  • Travel experience is not required; local candidates will not be considered.

  • Ability to perform duties involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced settings.
  • Adherence to infection control and universal precautions.
