Job Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Joliet, Illinois
Pay Rate: $43.00/hr to $53.00/hr
Shift: Full-Time, In-Person during School Hours
Description:
Birch Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position near Joliet, Illinois for the 20252026 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners during their most critical developmental years.
Position Overview:
The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher will work with children ages 35 who have a variety of developmental delays and special needs. This role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting early intervention strategies, and helping students build a strong foundation for future academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide developmentally appropriate instruction based on students IEP goals

Design engaging, play-based learning activities tailored to individual needs

Collaborate with families, related service providers, and classroom staff

Implement positive behavior supports and early intervention strategies

Track student progress and maintain required documentation

Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement

Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities

Knowledge of early childhood development, intervention techniques, and family-centered practices

Strong communication and teamwork skills
