Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.
A contract Special Education Teacher position is available focusing on resource settings for high school students. Two openings require specialization in either special education English or special education Math. The assignment performs with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week over five days.
Key Qualifications:
- Montana Special Education Certification required; pending certifications are accepted if the candidate will apply for Montana certification.
- Experience working with high school students in special education environments preferred.
- Strong skills in delivering tailored instruction in either English or Math to students with diverse learning needs.
Location: Billings, MT
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in special education resource settings.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the academic and emotional needs of high school learners in special education.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation according to state and district special education guidelines.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings for assigned students.
