Title: Business Analyst (Cúram)Location: Washington, DC (Local/Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (Cúram) to join the DCAS program team. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will support DCAS initiatives from initial requirements development through implementation, offering strategic insights, leading workshops, and driving continuous process improvements.
The Business Analyst will become a key member of the DCAS team—taking ownership of challenges, applying critical thinking, and partnering with leadership to drive solutions that enhance system performance and user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assess current organizational and technical challenges and collaborate with leadership to develop strategic plans and initiatives.
- Plan, organize, and lead workshops, including gap analysis sessions and training events.
- Analyze, validate, and support implementation of business and technical requirements across DCAS projects from inception to completion.
- Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization, enhancement, or new development.
- Review and analyze system performance metrics, known issues, documentation, and supporting technologies.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and a deep understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
- Develop or modify procedures and workflows to solve complex problems, considering system capabilities, constraints, and desired outcomes.
- Provide expert consultation on complex projects and serve as a senior-level contributor across all phases of systems analysis.
- Translate business and user needs into accurate system requirements specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project standards.
- Evaluate the business impacts of applying new technologies to current and future operating environments.
RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting business analysis efforts within the Cúram platform (preferred).
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working within large-scale systems, government programs, or health and human services environments
