This role partners closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to ensure products are designed, launched, and ramped with efficient, robust, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

This position plays a critical role in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, production ramp planning, and factory system design, influencing manufacturing strategy from early concept through volume production.

Manufacturing Strategy & NPI Industrialization

  • Lead industrialization planning for new product programs from concept through launch.
  • Evaluate manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation opportunities.
  • Develop scalable, flexible production architectures to support growth and product mix changes.

Production System & Factory Design

  • Lead plant layout development for new products, line expansions, or facility growth.
  • Define automation strategies for high-mix, variable-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Perform capacity analysis and production ramp planning.

Process Validation & Product Launch

  • Lead zero-run builds and Manufacturing Production Process Review (MPPR) readiness activities.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, throughput, cost, and safety targets.
  • Drive improvements in process capability, yield, and operational robustness.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Product Engineering early in the design phase to influence manufacturability.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input and risk assessments.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to global initiatives that drive cross-site consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison to Corporate Industrial Engineering, influencing standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and project team members.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead major manufacturing improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy manufacturing best practices across product lines and facilities.
  • Support lean manufacturing efforts and operational excellence initiatives.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading NPI industrialization efforts
  • Proven experience designing manufacturing systems and production lines
  • Strong expertise in DFM, value stream analysis and production capacity modeling
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at varying stages of development

Preferred:

  • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering or Operations
