The Cafe Line Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. The Cafe Line Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, and work well as a team member in a dynamic workplace and follow all safety procedures.
JOB SUMMARY
• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner to Stonewall Kitchen’s quality standards
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentations specifications
• Set-up, clean and maintain stations while practicing safety, sanitation and organizational skills
• Understanding how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
• Assist with controlling food costs
• Follow all company policies and procedures with regard to safety, quality, sanitation, personnel, maintenance and equipment, including food safety
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require along with weekends and holidays
• Perform other duties assigned

Requirements:
EXPECTATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous prep/line cook experience with a minimum of 2 years of cooking experience
• Understanding and knowledge of professional cooking, knife handling skills, safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Must be computer literate
• Must be creative, flexible and adaptable to change
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist and stand for several hours a day
