Job Title: Senior Associate Scientist
Job Description
As a Senior Associate Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting mouse in vivo studies, including performing injections (IV, IP, etc.), measuring and tracking tumor growth, bleeding mice, harvesting tissues, and isolating cells for downstream functional assays. You will prepare, run, and analyze multicolor (>12 color) flow cytometry samples and execute and analyze immunoassays such as ELISA and MSD. Additionally, you will be responsible for culturing and engineering mammalian cell lines and primary human cells, maintaining an organized lab notebook, and analyzing and presenting data using tools like FlowJo, Excel, and GraphPad Prism at various internal meetings.
Responsibilities
- Perform injections (IV, IP, etc.) and track tumor growth in mouse in vivo studies.
- Bleed mice, harvest tissues, and isolate cells for downstream assays.
- Prepare, run, and analyze multicolor (>12 color) flow cytometry samples.
- Execute and analyze immunoassays such as ELISA and MSD.
- Culture and engineer mammalian cell lines and primary human cells.
- Maintain an organized lab notebook and present data at internal meetings.
Essential Skills
- BS/MS in Cell Biology or related field with 3+ years of in vivo and in vitro experience.
- Proficiency in in vivo assays, dosing, and injections.
- Experience with immunoassays and multicolor flow cytometry.
- Strong analytical skills using FlowJo, Excel, and GraphPad Prism.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- MS/BS in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in mouse handling and experimental techniques.
- Strong knowledge base of immunology and familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze, and troubleshoot independently.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tarrytown, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
