Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. In this role, you will manage accounting functions for multiple properties and projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. You will work closely with corporate teams and investment management to deliver reliable financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee property accounting processes to streamline operations and enhance staff productivity, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation for assigned portfolios.
• Develop expertise in managing construction draw processes, utilizing property accounting software to create and submit draw documentation.
• Prepare fixed asset updates and cost segregation workpapers for submission to public accounting firms.
• Participate in standardizing procedures and sharing knowledge through documentation utilizing accounting software.
• Handle monthly billing functions, including reimbursable, fee, and commission billing for corporate accounting.
• Track income and losses across various development projects and assist in updating income projections and cash flow assumptions.
• Support quarterly tax planning processes by providing financial data and assist with company budgeting activities.
• Generate financial reports for ownership entities, maintaining accurate records of investments using equity accounting methods.
• Assist with processing, verifying, and uploading distributions to investors, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Contribute to treasury management functions and actively participate in company and departmental meetings.• Proven experience in project and property accounting, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
• Familiarity with construction accounting, including managing draw processes and related documentation.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Deltek Vision, for financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports with precision and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of investment management principles, including equity accounting and cash flow projections.
• Strong analytical skills for supporting tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Effective communication abilities to collaborate with teams and share knowledge through standardized procedures.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy.
