Are you a dedicated Corrections Psychologist ready to provide vital diagnostic, therapeutic, and psychotherapy services within a contract facility? We're looking for a compassionate and skilled professional to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll ensure that mental health services are delivered effectively and achieve desired patient outcomes, all while upholding established guidelines.


What You'll Do:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Deliver psychotherapy, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to inmate patients.
  • Act as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Serve as a liaison with other medical disciplines.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of psychotherapy treatment services, striving for desired patient outcomes.
  • Utilize your expertise in diagnosing and treating psychological disorders.
  • Perform psychological evaluations using appropriate assessment instruments.
  • Prepare written reports and handle legal depositions and court hearings as needed.


What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum Education: Completion of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: A current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where the facility is located.
  • Experience: Previous experience with mental health delivery systems.
  • Professional experience demonstrating knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
  • Required Skills: Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills.
  • Ability to make decisions independently.
  • Assertive, empathetic, and able to provide care objectively.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to command the respect and confidence of both inmates and staff.
  • A philosophical commitment to the objectives of the facility.
  • Maintain an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
