Job Summary:
As an Accounting Associate – Credit Approvals, you will approve and update customer credit limits as well as perform accounts receivable duties.
Responsibilities:
Credit Approval
- Set and update customer credit limits
- Release orders based on credit limits
- Verify bank funds for orders exceeding limits
- Process lube equipment orders
Payment Processing
- Handle checks received at the Home Office
- Process credit card payments
- Reverse ACH and check‐by‐phone/email payments
Customer Account Maintenance
- Manage account acquisitions
- Correct customer orders
- Maintain general account information
Payment Receipt Processing & Support
- Handle customer inquiries and payment calls
- Resolve invoicing and payment disputes with customers and Sales Reps
- Analyze and resolve payment discrepancies
- Process journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Maintain accounts receivable documentation
Qualifications:
- BS or AA in Accounting OR 1+ year office experience in Accounts Receivable and/or credit approval experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Administrative skills: organization, prioritization, and customer service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Critical thinking and discernment skills
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Perform job duties in a newly renovated office environment.
