Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee and enhance internal audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with external auditors and drive improvements in financial controls and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Lead internal audit activities, including planning and executing annual audit programs.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure alignment and successful completion of audit processes.
• Review and refine internal processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Analyze and manipulate large financial data sets using Excel to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Develop and present findings to the audit committee and senior management.
• Implement improvements to corporate internal audit practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage compliance with J-SOX requirements and other applicable frameworks.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff on audit methodologies and practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes to inform audit strategies.• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certification such as CPA or CIA preferred, with consideration given to candidates actively pursuing certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of audit experience, including public accounting.
• Familiarity with J-SOX or US audit standards and confidence in transitioning between frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including expertise in managing and analyzing large data sets.
• Strong ability to assess and improve internal controls and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with external auditors and presentation to stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
