Beveridge & Diamond (B&D), the foremost national corporate environmental law firm, seeks a Marketing Technology Manager to lead the implementation, integration, and strategic management of the firm's marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, experience management, email marketing, website, and marketing automation platforms. The Marketing Technology Manager develops and executes the firm’s marketing technology roadmap while ensuring data integrity, system optimization, and successful adoption across the firm. They partner with teams across the firm to drive technology-enabled growth initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
B&D’s Marketing Department has high visibility across the firm and works directly with lawyers across seniority levels to support the firm’s and individuals’ marketing and business development initiatives. This role can be based in any of our seven office locations: Austin, TX; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
I. Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develops (in partnership with the Director and Business Development & Marketing Operations and other key stakeholders) and executes multi-year marketing technology roadmap aligned with firm's strategic objectives.
- Leads evaluation, selection, and implementation of marketing technology platforms including CRM, experience management, and marketing automation tools.
- Creates (in partnership with the IT Department) and maintains technology governance framework including data privacy, security, and compliance policies.
- Establishes best practices and standard operating procedures for marketing technology stack.
- Partners with IT leadership on system integration, security protocols, and technology infrastructure.
- Manages relationships with key technology vendors including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
II. System Management & Optimization
- Oversees daily administration and optimization of marketing technology platforms, including CRM, experience management software, and email marketing systems.
- Ensures seamless integration between marketing platforms and firm's broader technology ecosystem.
- Develops and implements data governance policies to maintain data quality and compliance.
- Creates automated workflows to improve operational efficiency and user adoption.
- Manages system updates, maintenance, and enhancement projects.
- Implements A/B testing and optimization protocols across marketing platforms.
III. Data Strategy & Analytics
- Establishes data management framework ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and industry regulations.
- Develops comprehensive reporting solutions combining data from multiple marketing technology sources.
- Implements advanced analytics and tracking systems across marketing platforms.
- Produces actionable insights and recommendations from marketing technology data.
- Maintains documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures.
IV. Digital Marketing Operations
- Partners with the Marketing Communications Specialist on technical implementation of email marketing campaigns including segmentation, automation, and deployment.
- Manages proposal automation systems and content databases.
- Manages the firm’s website CMS and analytics tools.
- Implements marketing automation workflows and lead scoring systems.
- Identify ways to implement AI into department operations.
V. Training & Change Management
- In partnership with the firm’s Program Developer/Trainer, develops and delivers technology training programs for attorneys and staff.
- Creates user guides and technical documentation for marketing technology platforms.
- Leads change management initiatives for new technology implementations.
- Partners with practice groups to drive adoption of marketing technology tools.
- Provides ongoing coaching and support to maximize technology utilization.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing and best practices across the firm.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of marketing technology experience with at least 3 years in legal or professional services
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level marketing technology implementations
- Expertise in legal-specific platforms such as InterAction, Intapp experience, and Vuture or similar platforms
- Fluency in Excel and PowerBI to build marketing reports
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation, CMS, and digital analytics platforms
- Experience with proposal automation and digital asset management systems
- Proven track record developing and executing marketing technology roadmaps
- Deep understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellence in stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior levels
- Initiative, responsiveness, follow-through, and strong project management skills with relevant certifications preferred
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships
- Knowledge of legal industry marketing metrics and KPIs
- Demonstrated success with change management and technology adoption initiatives
- College degree or equivalent, or demonstrated career experience
Work Environment
Hybrid model with a minimum of three in-office days per week. Some travel may be required for training and meetings.
Compensation
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $155,000 annually, commensurate with experience and the final job level offered. The compensation for this position may also include discretionary performance and productivity bonuses.
