The position involves direct patient care, emergency response, travel to patients' residences, and collaboration with healthcare professionals while ensuring confidentiality is upheld.

Physical Therapist - Home Care
40 hours per week, Day shifts
Location: Jefferson Hospital
Festus, MO 63028
In this position, you will offer in-home physical therapy services to patients dealing with neurological and/or musculoskeletal disorders, guided by a physician's directives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Licensure: Must hold a current state license and a valid driver's license.
- Experience: A minimum of two years in acute care or home care is preferred.
- Certifications: CPR certification is required.
- Additional Requirements:
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills are essential.
- Must be energetic, possess good interpersonal skills, and demonstrate effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are necessary.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting of more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and manage emergencies without assistance.
- Adaptability to change, initiative in setting challenging goals, and a desire for continuous learning are important.
- Must be able to drive in potentially hazardous conditions and follow both written and verbal instructions, including map reading.
- Independently scheduling patient visits in a timely manner is required, along with daily check-ins with the office to update the schedule.
- Participation in weekend and on-call rotations is expected, with regular interaction with agency staff, physicians, hospital personnel, and the public.
- Regular handling of confidential information is part of the role.
