The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accepting and organizing all incoming deliveries for various departments across Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate distribution of goods and maintaining a clean, orderly receiving area. The Warehouse Clerk supports operational flow by handling deliveries efficiently and ensuring stock levels are maintained throughout the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives, verifies, and logs all incoming deliveries for multiple departments.
- Accurately distributes goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Fills departmental stock requisitions from warehouse and cold storage areas.
- Inspects deliveries to ensure quality and regulatory standards, focusing on perishables like produce and meat.
- Adheres to all inventory control procedures and follows proper documentation protocols.
- Communicates effectively with department representatives regarding incoming shipments.
- Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper labeling and rotation.
- Provides operational support to the warehouse during peak times and special assignments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may coordinate with team members during distribution of goods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when managing confidential and sensitive information
- Familiarity with inspecting produce and meat is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates effective communication and positive interactions with team members and vendors.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Additional coursework in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, stockroom, or inventory control operations.
- Proven ability to receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, and equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, order forms, and basic shipping and receiving documentation.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, operate material handling equipment, and follow safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a casino, resort, or hospitality-related warehouse environment is preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing with warehouse staff, vendors, and internal departments; responsible for coordinating inventory movement, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining documentation.
- Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifts and carries boxes, equipment, and supply items weighing up to 50 pounds; assists with loading/unloading deliveries and stocking shelves.
- Manual Dexterity: Regularly uses hands and fingers to handle merchandise, operate scanners, label packages, and complete inventory logs with accuracy.
- Mobility: Frequently moves throughout the warehouse and storage areas; requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts or pallet jacks throughout the shift.
- Stationary Work: Occasionally remains seated while inputting data, processing inventory paperwork, or completing clerical tasks at a workstation.
- Tool Operation: Regular use of pallet jacks, handheld scanners, shrink-wrap machines, barcode printers, and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
- Visual Acuity: Requires close vision to inspect incoming goods, verify item numbers, read documentation, and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Working Conditions: Routinely works in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, fluctuating temperatures, equipment movement, and occasional outdoor conditions. Occasional exposure to a smoking environment when moving through designated areas of the property.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
