We currently have an opening at our Oconomowoc clinic on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, with scheduling ranging from 2 to 4 times per month based on patient volume. We also have some optional per-diem availability at multiple Wisconsin-based clinics.
About Us: Allegiance Medical, Inc. is a veteran-owned and operated clinic specializing in disability assessments for uniformed service members and veterans on behalf of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as various employment-related examinations for diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including 2D echocardiograms, using specialized equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Analyze images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible patient care.
- Stay current with the latest developments in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Assist with patient flow, collect patient history and vital signs, and perform EKGs when trained.
Additional Information:
- Job Types: Per diem, Part-time (This role is about 2 to 4 days a month)
- Work Location: In person (No remote work available)
- Willingness to Travel: 25% (Preferred)
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualifying degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, or a related field (Preferred).
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required for Sonographer).
- Wisconsin License/Registration (Required).
- Certified Cardiographic Technician
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sonographer or Echocardiographer (Required).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Hard Skills:
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to accurately measure and calculate diagnostic data.
- Familiarity with relevant imaging software.
