Job DescriptionSeize a rewarding opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care in Lawton, Oklahoma, where your nursing expertise can touch patients and families across a dynamic hospital setting. This travel assignment invites you to bring your Med Surg skills to a team that values precision, compassion, and quick thinking. As you care for adults with a range of medical and post-operative needs, you’ll grow professionally while delivering high-quality outcomes. Beyond the unit, Oklahoma’s sunlit plains, nearby trails, and welcoming communities offer weekend escapes and a reminder of the state’s natural beauty.
Location Benefits:
Working in Lawton places you in a supportive community hospital environment with access to modern resources and a collaborative care culture. Lawton serves as a regional hub with convenient access to family-friendly activities, shopping, and cultural events, plus easy drives to larger cities for weekend adventures. If you’re drawn to variety, this opportunity also offers the option to be deployed to locations across the United States, expanding your clinical exposure and allowing you to experience new environments, patient populations, and practice standards while maintaining the stability of a robust support network, 24/7 travel assistance, and a clear path to extension.
Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Core responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population. Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and IV therapies, monitor vital signs and telemetry as needed, perform wound care and post-operative management, manage tubes and drains when applicable, collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals, provide patient and family education, and assist with discharge planning to support safe transitions home.
- Professional growth: Benefit from exposure to a wide range of medical conditions and treatment modalities within the Med Surg specialty. Access ongoing learning, mentorship from experienced clinicians, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidenced-based care projects, and potential pathway opportunities into specialty tracks or leadership roles.
- Compensation and incentives: Competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,601 to $1,646, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. This assignment includes a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease transition. Extension opportunities are available if you and the program align, enabling continuity of care and continuing your professional journey with a trusted employer.
- Support and logistics: You are supported by a 24/7 team dedicated to travel life—clinical leads, staffing coordinators, and travel specialists who assist with housing, orientation, credentialing, and problem-solving on the road. You’ll have reliable access to resources, equipment, and documentation systems that empower you to focus on patient care.
Company Values:
Our partner company is committed to empowering nursing staff with respect, growth, and a supportive work environment. The organization prioritizes career advancement through structured pathways, continuing education assistance, and constructive feedback frameworks that help you elevate your practice while balancing work-life harmony. You’ll join a culture that values your voice, recognizes your contributions, and fosters a collaborative community where best practice is shared, respect is mutual, and patient outcomes are the shared goal.
