Orange County-based live events production company is currently seeking an experienced Video Technician to join our team. The Video Technicians work closely with the project management team, audio and lighting technicians, and our scenic team. Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented, have a strong technical background, and have the ability to think outside the box or approach problems from a unique perspective.
Responsibilities include:
- Live video switching, projection mapping, and design, LED video wall systems, and video engineering.
- Using Adobe Creative Cloud (namely Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro)
- Experienced with current non-linear editing systems (Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer)
- Leading event installations, including being hands-on with technical equipment, scenery, show execution, and strike.
- Assembling Rigging/Truss, Lighting Rig, Power, and Network Infrastructure
- .Assisting with event installations, including technical equipment, scenery, show execution, and strike.
- Editing shows using current non-linear editing systems (Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, Avid
- Media Composer)
- Performing equipment setups, including wiring, cabling, and connections, ensuring
- optimal audio and video quality.
- Troubleshoots AV equipment, including but, not limited to hardware, software, and any
- connected system.
- Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
- Operating cameras, live video switching, and equipment to capture video footage as per
- the requirements of the production.
- Building and programming LED video wall systems and projection designs.
- Maintaining inventory of audiovisual equipment and accessories, ensuring proper storage
- and organization.
- Prepping pull sheets and QCing equipment in the shop.
- Taking direction from onsite project managers, onsite leads, and technicians.
- Working cooperatively within a team and with other departments.
- Lifting various scenic and tech event-related equipment. (50+ lbs.)
- Performing other job responsibilities as assigned by MEI
Job Type: Full-time & Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
