Job Description

The Role

IW Group is an integrated creative agency producing culture-shaping work for brands including McDonald’s, Heinz, Covered California, and Lexus. We create impactful campaigns and content that blend storytelling, culture, and innovation.

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our growing post-production team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is eager to learn the full post-production process within an agency setting.

You’ll support our Post Producer / Editor across branded content, social campaigns, experiential recaps, and digital deliverables—keeping workflows efficient and organized while taking ownership of smaller edits as you develop your craft.

What You'll Do

  • Assist editors and producers throughout the post process, including ingesting, organizing, syncing, and archiving footage
  • Prepare proxy files, rough cuts, and deliverables based on post schedules and versioning needs
  • Maintain post calendars, asset trackers, and documentation to ensure smooth handoffs and delivery
  • Handle post-related paperwork, including POs and completion reports
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, version control logs, file naming conventions, and archival of final outputs
  • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and production partners as needed
  • Track media usage rights and delivery specs per client or platform requirements
  • Working knowledge of project management platforms, such as Monday.com, is a plus
  • Support conforming, color, and sound prep; export and QC final deliverables
  • Take ownership of smaller edits—such as sizzle reels, social videos, and cutdowns—from start to finish
  • Learn from producers and creatives to develop technical and creative skills for future growth

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years agency or production experience; capable of managing small activations independently
  • Experience in advertising, media, or creative agency environments a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong time management and multitasking capabilities
  • Commitment to inclusivity, integrity, and team collaboration
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro), After Effects, and Frame.io; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools (or Logic Pro), generative AI platforms (Runway, Sora, ElevenLabs), and other emerging tools is a plus

Benefits and Perks

  • Hybrid work model (three in-office days per week)
  • Lunch provided on office days
  • 20 PTO days annually
  • 20 paid holidays (including Thanksgiving & Christmas week)
  • Birthday off
  • Year-round Flex Fridays (half-day Fridays)
  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Employee referral program
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented team environment
