Floating is mandatory all travelers must float, including as Patient Observers (Sitters). Float Guidelines : ICU may float to PCU or MS units PCU may float to MS or ICU units MS may float to MS/Tele Pediatrics may float anywhere in the organization as a Patient Observer (sitter) Post-Partum may float to MS units L D may float within Maternal/Child Extensions: Effective 4/8/26, travelers can work up to three consecutive 13-week contracts, or 9 months of consecutive service. Contract Breaks: Effective 4/8/26, following the completion of an assignment, a mandatory six (6) month break will be required before returning to MU Health Care in an agency capacity. This applies 13 week contracts, and extensions (up to two 13 week extensions allowed per contract/ 9 months of consecutive service).
