Multiple positions are available for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year, offering a dynamic work experience across a variety of schools and locations within the surrounding communities: Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
Assignments may vary depending on local needs and vacancies, providing a diverse experience as you work with students of varying ages and abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapy license/certification required
- School-based OT experience preferred
- Commitment to working full time (7.33 hours daily, five days per week)
- Adaptable, able to manage changing caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to travel within various assigned school locations
- COTA support needed: One COTA position open for qualified candidates
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support students with IEP-driven OT needs in the K-12 setting
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ individual goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reporting
- Flexibly respond to assignments at one or multiple school sites as needed
