Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
\n• 24-bed stepdown unit with 1:4-5 nurse to patient ratios on nights
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
\n• Must have experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures
\n• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including pre/post heart catheterization, cardioversions, cardiothoracic procedures, post-thoracotomy, vascular procedures, and NSTEMI
\n• Manage patients with trachs on home vents, BiPAP, CPAP, and chest tubes
\n• Titrate select drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and Integrilin
\n• Work with monitor techs who handle telemetry monitoring and documentation
\n• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
\n• Holiday rotation including 6 major holidays
\n• May float within permanent staff rotation
\n• Navy blue scrub color requirement
\n• 2-3 shift unit orientation
\n• Block scheduling and self-scheduling options available
\n• No call or standby requirements
\n• EPIC charting system
\n• 2 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
\n• Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from facility

The facility features a 24-bed unit with comprehensive cardiac services including pre and post-procedural care for complex cardiovascular interventions. The healthcare organization maintains Level 2 trauma designation and utilizes advanced monitoring technology with dedicated telemetry technicians to support patient care.
