Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree obtained from an accredited university
Valid South Carolina teaching license in a designated special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
Strong commitment to individualized instruction and differentiation
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Flexible mindset and eagerness to work with evolving caseloads (assignment details to be determined)
Familiarity with IEP development, data-driven interventions, and progress monitoring

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and use a range of teaching techniques to support student learning and engagement
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
Collect and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing special education
Participate actively in multidisciplinary and IEP team meetings

This contract position follows the academic calendar (anticipated August 4, 2026 – May 27, 2027) and entails a 37.5-hour workweek, providing predictable daytime hours and a balanced schedule.
