Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree obtained from an accredited university
- Valid South Carolina teaching license in a designated special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and differentiation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexible mindset and eagerness to work with evolving caseloads (assignment details to be determined)
- Familiarity with IEP development, data-driven interventions, and progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and use a range of teaching techniques to support student learning and engagement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Collect and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing special education
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary and IEP team meetings
This contract position follows the academic calendar (anticipated August 4, 2026 – May 27, 2027) and entails a 37.5-hour workweek, providing predictable daytime hours and a balanced schedule.
