We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in payroll processing and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. The role involves handling payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees on a bi-weekly basis, supporting a workforce of over 200 employees.
Responsibilities:
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Oversee timekeeping systems to maintain precise records of employee hours and attendance.
• Administer benefits such as 401k contributions and other payroll-related deductions.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks and maintain employee information.
• Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and support financial reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive employee and payroll data.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
• Stay updated on payroll laws and best practices to improve processes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll software.
• Solid understanding of payroll regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience administering benefits such as 401k plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle payroll for a workforce of 101-500 employees.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with employees and management.
