Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.
A unique opportunity exists for a certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to take on a fully virtual role for the 20252026 school year. This position is ideal for experienced educators looking for a remote, full-time position with a manageable caseload that enables meaningful engagement with students.
Location: El Dorado, KS
Job Duration: August 13, 2025 - May 22, 2026
Hours: 37.5 per week
Caseload: 18 students (12 receiving pullout services, 6 on consult services)
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Deliver direct services and offer consultative support to educators and families.
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with general education teachers and related service providers.
Qualifications:
- Active or eligible Kansas DHH teaching license.
- Experience in virtual instruction.
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual platforms and assistive technology.
