Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC (Van Cleef) is a dynamic, multi‐disciplined consulting civil engineering firm of Engineers, Certified Inspectors, Landscape Architects, Planners and Land Surveyors. With offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we provide expertise in all of the major areas of civil engineering, municipal engineering, municipal planning, and land surveying. Van Cleef Engineering has an immediate opening for an Bridge Design Engineer in our Freehold, NJ office (or potentially other of Van Cleef's 9 offices). This is a full-time, immediate opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering design and analysis tasks
- Develop specifications, estimates, and bid package submission documents
- Oversee, manage, and/or provide guidance to junior level bridge engineers
- Coordinate with multi-disciplined design teams, including subconsultants
- Conduct site visits during construction phase for client support
- Assist with bridge and field inspections
- Assist with proposal preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania Professional Engineer License (or potential to obtain within 1-3 years)
- 1 to 5 years bridge design experience
- NJDOT, NJTA and/or PennDOT design experience preferred
- Knowledge of current AASHTO LRFD design specifications
- AutoCAD and MicroStation experience
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD Pro, Mathcad, PennDOT design programs, or equivalent design programs
- A valid driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of effectively working on multiple projects
- High degree of self-motivation and team-oriented approach

Compensation:
$65,000 - $85,000 annually commensurate with experience.
