Part Time Production Technician - Electronics Assembler
Pay: $20 - $26 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible schedule within the hours of Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (full-time positions also available)
About Us:
We are a local, small business specializing in electro-optical technology. We are seeking dependable Part-Time Production Technicians to join our electronics manufacturing and assembly team. In this hands-on role, you will support the assembly, repair, and testing of electronic and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and repair electronic and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned tasks on time
- Report defective materials or issues to supervisor
- Collect data and compile production and quality reports
- Troubleshoot minor equipment or machinery issues
- Cross-train in multiple assembly tasks to support team needs
- Perform other duties as needed to meet quality and output goals
- Support small batch production and general production line operations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus
- Mechanically inclined with ability to use common hand tools and basic production equipment
- Ability to work at a steady pace at a bench station
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and verbal directions accurately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork skills and reliability (consistent attendance, punctuality)
- Willingness to learn new tools, machines, or processes quickly
Preferred Experience (a plus, not required):
- Basic soldering skills (surface mount & through-hole)
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment (multimeters, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical schematics
- Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Hiring Process:
- Electrical and Mechanical multiple-choice test
- Hands-on soldering skills test for candidates with previous soldering experience
