Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position within the education industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining financial records and performing critical accounting tasks with precision.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) activities, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with general ledger records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial forecasting.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving any queries.
• Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and company policies.• Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience working in the education industry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
